Discord Notifications not Working

It is possible that notifications are not displayed if you’re using an older version of Discord. In addition, you may have incorrectly configured certain settings on your phone (battery optimization or quiet hours, small buttons in the Taskbar, etc.).

Solution 3: Try another network

Different protocols and methods are used by ISPs to manage web traffic and protect users from online threats. They block Discord’s resources, which is a common problem for streaming, streaming and other online games. This is where a different network might be able to solve the notification problem.

1. Force close the Discord application (as described in Solution 3).
2. Your system/phone should be disconnected from the current network. Join the phone/system to another network. A VPN is also an option.

Android

1. Clear cache and delete data from Discord (as described in Solution 3)
2. Open the Settings app on your Android phone.
3. Next, select Discord and then tap on the Uninstall button.
4. Now, confirm that Discord has been removed and restart your phone.
5. Reinstall Discord after restarting and verify that Discord notifications work fine.

Windows

1. Discord should be closed and you must ensure that no Discord-related processes are running in Task Manager.
2. Right-click the Windows button, then select the Gear/Settings icon from the menu.
3. Next, open Apps and expand Discord.
4. Click on the Uninstall button, and follow the prompts to uninstall Discord.
5. Restart your system now and launch File Explorer.

Solution 1: Disable Quiet hours in the Action Center

Windows offers a useful function that allows you to disable notifications during quiet hours. If this setting is enabled, then you might encounter an error. This may resolve the issue by disabling quiet hours.

1. Discord should be closed and you must ensure that no Discord-related processes are running in Task Manager.
2. Next, click right-click the Start button and then click the Gear/Settings Icon.
3. Select System, then click on Focus Assist in the left pane.
4. Next, open the window’s right-hand pane and select Off (under Focus Assist).
5. All options can now be disabled by following the Automatic Rules.
6. Launch Discord, and verify that it works as intended.
7. Set up an alarm and check that the Discord notifications work when it rings.

Solution 2: Enable Taskbar Badges and Disable Small Taskbar Buttons

Solution 1: Closely Connect the Discord Client to Your PC

Discord has a bug that prevents you from receiving notifications on your phone when you sign in using Discord’s client PC. This bug could also be responsible for the current problem. This scenario may resolve the issue by closing Discord’s PC client.

1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
2. Open Apps, and then select Discord.
3. Next, tap the Force Close button to confirm the force-closing Discord.

Solution 2: Disable Battery Optimization in Discord Application

Solution 3: Clear the cache and data of the Discord application

Discord uses a cache, just like many other applications.
